Lidlekh is a show that offers songs of love, work, and resistance from the Jewish exile. Conveyed in Yiddish and Ladino, and accompanied by shadow puppetry, the music of Lidlekh seeks to breathe life into this musical heritage and to bring us to the juncture of music and memory, the place where we can honor stories of the past and their connection to stories of the present. This evening of music provides for us a window through which we may glimpse the lives of those who came before and connect our threads to theirs as we continue our ongoing fight for collective liberation.
